Beloved “The Price Is Right” host Bob Barker died in late August and new documents reveal that Barker’s cause of death was Alzheimer’s disease.

According to his death certificate, Bob Barker had been Alzheimer’s disease for years. Contributing factors to his death were listed as hypertension, hypothyroidism and hyperlipidemia.

The game show host had suffered medical issues in recent years, including falls and skin cancer, but never publicly acknowledged his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Barker was a vegetarian for the last four decades of his life. He practiced the lifestyle as a preventative measure against the disease.

In 2013, Bob, a longtime animal rights activist, filmed a commercial for PETA where he promoted vegetarianism and its affects on the body and brain.
