In Conversation with Anasuya Dighe: Why cows don’t die from skin cancer and what we can learn.

A short interview with Yale postdoctoral researcher Anasuya Dighe during which she explains why researchers think that cows don’t die from skin cancer. Anasuya combines computational and evolutionary biology to determine the genes that are important in placental organization in cows and humans, which is the key to uncovering why cows don’t die from skin cancer. This video was produced as a partnership between the National Cancer Institute, which supported the Cancer Systems Biology Center at Yale (CaSB@Yale), the Yale Systems Biology Institute, and the Yale West Campus Administration.
