During a recent appearance on the ‘SpeedFreaks’ radio show, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford opened up about his dear friend, late Motörhead lead singer Lemmy Kilmister. Apparently, Halford received one of the bullets consisting of Kilmister’s ashes sometime after his passing.
For those of you who may not know, Motörhead legend Lemmy Kilmister passed away four days after his 70th birthday on December 28, 2015, from prostate cancer, cardiac arrhythmia, and congestive heart failure.
The rocker’s death was announced via a post on the band’s official Facebook account later that day. In the announcement, Motörhead’s members also revealed that Kilmister’s cancer had only been diagnosed two days before his death, and his doctor had given him between two and six months.
Lemmy’s memorial service took place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, on January 9, 2016, and the service was streamed live on YouTube, and over 230,000 people mourned his passing. His close friend Rob Halford was …
