Susanna Reid has revealed she’s finally tried to book a mammogram, overcoming several practical ‘hurdles’ on the way, as she detailed her journey on Good Morning Britain.
The 52-year-old had revealed on Monday that Sarah Ferguson’s breast cancer diagnosis was a ‘wake-up call’ for her to book an appointment.
She’s now reassured viewers that she does think she’s managed to book an appointment, and urged others to do the same.
The presenter explained: ‘So, yesterday, I admitted that because I’d received an invitation to a mammogram rather than a mammogram appointment I had done what unfortunately 12,000 other women in London had done and not gone ahead and booked an appointment.’
She went on: ‘My excuse was, I just didn’t get round to it, and so yesterday I got round to it.
