Lung Cancer Awareness – A Lung Cancer Patient’s Treatment Journey [Video]

Marilyn C​, stage 4 lung cancer survivor discusses her treatment journey with immunotherapy, how she dealt with the stigma and misinformation associated with the disease, and the importance of lung cancer screenings.#LungCancerAwareness #ImmunotherapyAkron, Ohio resident Marilyn is a wife, mom, aunt, gardener and cancer survivor. Four years ago in November, she received a shocking stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis. Despite only a 25% five-year survival rate, she assured her friends and family that “cancer wasn’t going to be her death sentence.” In hopes of her best chance to live cancer-free, Marilyn’s doctor immediately started her on immunotherapy treatment that has proven to be successful in her cancer journey. In light of Lung Cancer Awareness Month in November, Marilyn is speaking out to share her story and inspire others.
