Battling leukemia, 9-year-old Adrian gets fatigued easily, making it difficult to walk and participate in activities with his family and friends that he normally would love. His wish to have a customized golf cart helps he cope with the effects of his illness. Adrian was surprised to receive his dream golf cart – a 2022 Yamaha 4-seater in metallic green with a lift kit, upgraded rims and all-terrain tires. At first, he could not believe the moment was actually happening. But then it set in and all he wanted to do was go for a ride. Adrian’s grandfather said, “The golf cart is going to mean the world to him and the whole family. We are so excited, and we can’t wait to start using it.” His golf cart enables him to once again enjoy the lifestyle that cancer has taken away. He can get around better, and have fun with family and friends. He is most excited to bring the golf cart along on family camping adventures.Adrian’s wish was sponsored by a 7-year-old wish kid. Kinsley Peacock received her wish to go on a cruise to the Bahamas in 2019. A fellow cancer survivor, Kinsley created @Kinsley’s Cookie Cart, a non-profit that raises money for pediatric cancer and granting wishes. Adrian’s wish is the 4th they’ve adopted. If you are a doctor, future doctor, nurse, future nurse, paramedics, or just a good Samaritan, remember this – We are all in this together. Health care is about “care”–first and foremost–as the name suggests. Our goal is to provide free medical education with up-to-date medical information through notes (on the medXclusive blog), and through our YouTube videos; so that students could have a “prep course” without having to pay for it. The goal is to make sure that money (or lack thereof) is not the reason anyone scores less than those who can afford to spend these thousands of dollars. Hope you support us in our journey!——–Medicine is the science and practice of establishing the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Medicine encompasses a variety of health care practices evolved to maintain and restore health by the prevention and treatment of illness. Contemporary medicine applies biomedical sciences, biomedical research, genetics, and medical technology to diagnose, treat, and prevent injury and disease, typically through pharmaceuticals or surgery, but also through therapies as diverse as psychotherapy, external splints and traction, medical devices, biologics, and ionizing radiation, amongst others- The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is a three-step examination for medical licensure in the United States and is sponsored by the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) and the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME). Physicians with an MD degree are required to pass this examination before being permitted to practice medicine in the United States.- The Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA) is a series of three osteopathic medical licensing examinations administered by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME) similar to the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). COMLEX-USA is the most common pathway by which osteopathic physicians (D.O.s) apply for medical licensure, and is accepted in all 50 states. The 3-digit standard scores of COMLEX-USA Level 1, Level 2- Cognitive Evaluation (CE), and Level 3 have a range of 9-999 and a mean of 500. Most candidates score between 250 and 800. 400 is the minimum passing score for COMLEX-USA Levels 1 and 2; 350 for COMLEX-USA Level 3.- The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is a nationwide examination for the licensing of nurses in the United States and Canada since 1982 and 2015, respectively. There are two types, the NCLEX-RN and the NCLEX-PN. After graduation from a school of nursing, one takes the NCLEX exam to receive a nursing license. A nursing license gives an individual permission to practice nursing, granted by the state where they met the requirements. The NCLEX-RN uses the five-step nursing process. Each of the questions will fall into one of the five steps: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
