In the wake of Aretha Franklin’s passing at age 76 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, few words can be said to truly give credit…
Patrick Mitchell always wanted to live to be over 100 years old, but that all changed when the adventurous grandfather was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 pancreatic cancer at age 72. His daughter Vanessa decided to make his final days extra special, and took a month off of work to go on a series of bucket list adventures with her dad. Strangers from around the world sent her messages online offering unique experiences and tours that included Navy helicopter rides and a VIP trip to Las Vegas.
OH HELLO THERE YES IT IS A WONDERFUL DAY! It’s Katie Couric Day! And we are back with Season 8 of the Everything Happens podcast with Katie Couric, award-winning journalist and bestselling author and super advocate for all things cancer. We’re talking today about a very tender question: how do you know when to try? When do you hustle? When do you let go? Katie’s hustle and ambition made her an incredible force, but came to a crisis point when she continued to face loss after loss. Her husband was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. Her sister was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. When do you try and when do you let go? In this conversation, we are obsessed with this question of trying. Oh man. This is one of my very favorites. Katie is such a force for good, and gets really real about when we need the courage to try (and the wisdom to stop). In this video, we will look at Zantac stomach cancer cases and their potential settlement value.https://www.millerandzois.com/zantac-cancer.htmlThe discovery of NDMA in Zantac in 2018 has led to research that has established very strong evidence of causation between prolonged Zantac use and stomach cancer. This evidence will show that individuals who used Zantac or a generic equivalent on a regular basis for a prolonged period of time (at least 1 year) displayed higher rates of stomach cancer compared to the general population. Of all of the 5 different types of cancer that have been linked to Zantac, stomach cancer seems to be supported by the strongest causation evidence. A 2020 study in the journal Cancers looked at cancer rates for regular Zantac users compared to individuals who regularly used a different type of antacid drug. The study found that the rate of stomach cancer was 150% higher among Zantac users compared to the control group. Here are the 5 cancers we think will survive what is bound to be a vigorous Daubert challenge from defendants:Stomach cancer: https://www.millerandzois.com/zantac-stomach-cancer.htmlBladder cancer: https://www.millerandzois.com/zantac-bladder-cancer.htmlLiver cancer: https://www.millerandzois.com/zantac-liver-cancer.htmlEsophageal cancer: https://www.millerandzois.com/zantac-esophageal-cancer.htmlPancreatic cancer: https://www.millerandzois.com/zantac-pancreatic-cancer.html
