Tiago Pinto da Costa, a dedicated Patient Advocate at Acreditar and CCI-Europe ambassador, hosts this enlightening session, shedding light on the impactful work of Acreditar in childhood cancer support in Portugal.

Acreditar, founded in 1994, has been a beacon of hope for children and young people affected by cancer, as well as their families, for over three decades. Their mission extends beyond treating cancer to nurturing the overall well-being of young patients. Tiago Costa guides us through Acreditar’s journey, highlighting their holistic approach to care and comprehensive family support.

A highlight of the event is the discussion on the Portuguese survivors group, “Barnabés.” Tiago shares inspiring stories of resilience and solidarity within the community, showcasing Acreditar’s unwavering dedication to cancer survivors and their families.
