10 Warning Signs of PROSTATE CANCER – Don’t Ignore!

Prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer among men, especially in older age groups. Worldwide, prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men and the fourth most common cancer overall. There are significant geographic and racial disparities in incidence rates, with higher rates observed in developed countries and among African American men.
In the United States, prostate cancer is the most common cancer (excluding skin cancers) among men. According to the American Cancer Society, about 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime.

Age is a major risk factor for prostate cancer. The likelihood of being diagnosed increases significantly after the age of 50, with the majority of cases found in men aged 65 and older.
Other risk factors include family history, lifestyle factors, and genetic mutations.

Despite its prevalence, prostate cancer has one of the highest survival rates among all cancers, particularly when detected early. The 5-year survival rate for most men with local or regional prostate cancer is nearly 100%. However, for cancers that have spread to distant parts of the body, the 5-year survival rate drops to 30%.
Advances in screening, diagnosis, and treatment have contributed to improved survival rates over the past decades.
