Alex Tuch named Sabres’ nominee for King Clancy Trophy [Video]

Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) – For a second year in-a-row, Alex Tuch has been named the Buffalo Sabres’ nominee for the King Clancy Trophy.

The annual honor is awarded to the player that “best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made noteworthy humanitarian contributions to his community.” The winner will be chosen by a committee of senior NHL executives led by commissioner Gary Bettman and deputy commissioner Bill Daly.

Tuch formed the AT9 Foundation, is a non-profit which helps children that face challenges in their lives. The foundation also helps in the research of childhood cancer.
