Amy Dowden reveals Kate sent message of support to her amid cancer battle [Video]

The professional dancer has been candid about her breast cancer battle, revealing she first found a lump in her breast the day before going on her honeymoon with husband Ben Jones last May.

She was subsequently diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and had a mastectomy before undergoing chemotherapy, which she has now finished.

Speaking on Wednesday’s Loose Women, the Welsh star told the panel that she met the royal while she was being treated for breast cancer last year.

She added that she “doesn’t want anyone” to go through a battle with the disease, after Kate publicly shared her cancer diagnosis last month.

Dowden said: “I was lucky enough to meet [Kate] during my chemo treatment, and she gave me so much time. She was so kind. Actually, her words were, ‘Let us know if there’s anything we can do.’
