Theo Burrell has opened up about the first symptoms she noticed before she was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. The specialist auctioneer rose to fame on the BBC programme Antiques Roadshow.

The 37-year-old, who lives in Edinburgh, was diagnosed with an aggressive grade 4 glioblastoma in 2022 after experiencing symptoms in 2021, such as nausea and headaches. She joined the BBC show in 2018.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Theo has opened up about the first symptoms she noticed and how she avoided Googling the signs due to her “anxiety.”

She said: “The first symptom was car sickness on a journey I’d done many times before. I’d never had car sickness as a child so that was strange. Then I had what I thought was a migraine – visual disturbance, lots of vomiting.
