April Sampson Cancer Center opens in South Lincoln [Video]

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The April Sampson Cancer Center near 40th and Rokeby has opened its doors, providing new technology to push cancer care forward.

The center was built with convenience is mind, but also comfort. The open and inviting floor plan in the lobby was made with with patients in mind, not wanting them to feel like they were walking into a hospital.

“It’s changed my life,” said patient Ryan King.

King was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and during his treatment he had to visit two Cancer Partners of Nebraska locations, but now it’s all in one place.

“There’s many types of cancer and they can just do it all right here,” said King.

In Nebraska, over 75,000 people require cancer treatment every year.
