Augustana athletes grant three-year-olds wish [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Hundreds of Augustana athletes came together to raise funds to grant a wish for a child who was diagnosed with Leukemia.

Three-year-old Emma was in attendance for Wednesday’s double-header baseball game where the student-athletes joined fans and supporters to tell Emma and her family that her wish to go to Disney World is coming true.

“She’s been really good, but when we talk about it she’s excited. We are trying to teach her what it is, she is three. So we are really thankful and thank god and everyone who has supported us along the way and we are just so thankful. It’s like a gift from god,” Emma’s parents Courtney and Trent said.

Emma loves princesses, buses and the color yellow. Emma and her family rode in a yellow school bus to the baseball field for Wednesday’s games.
