Beloved radio DJ Slacker remembered for legacy & laughter [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City mourns the loss of Brian Adams, better known as “Slacker,” the iconic voice behind the microphone at 101 The Fox radio station.

Adams passed away Tuesday night after battling a rare form of blood cancer, acute myeloid leukemia, leaving behind a legacy that spans over three decades in the radio industry.

Regional Vice President of Cumulus Media Kansas City Donna Baker said the search for a replacement will begin, and they know they will have a hard time filling Slacker’s shoes.

“It’s been amazing to see just how many lives he’s touched. The friends he’s made on the radio, because he’s always been his authentic self,” Baker said.
