Boy has message for thieves who stole Make-A-Wish bike [Video]

PUTNAM, Conn. (WFSB) – Police are looking for answers after two dirt bikes were stolen from a Putnam garage around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

Patrick Deery was gifted the bike from the Make-A-Wish foundation during a tough battle with leukemia.

Last night, that bike was stolen according to his father.

“They threw a rock through a window of the side door and took two of our dirt bikes out of the barn, while we were home sitting on the couch watching TV,” said Joe Deery.

Cameras on the property did not catch the suspects taking the bikes.

Patrick Deery said he loved his bike and rode it all the time.

“For some reason I was under the impression that since it meant so much to me, it would never get stolen,” Patrick Deery said. “I just thought no one would ever take that from me.”
