Doctors remind Black women not to skip mammograms | KLRT [Video]

Health experts are sounding the alarm about Black women and the impact of cancer.

According to the American Cancer Society, Black women are 41 percent more likely to die from cancer compared to White women.

It’s an alarming statistic, but also a reminder for women to get screened.

Health officials say genetics is a reason why the mortality rate of cancer is higher for Black women and it’s recommended that Black women ask for a specific model when getting a mammogram.
