A noisy but fun St. Patrick’s Day tradition returns to Chittenden County this weekend. The 39th annual concrete mixer parade from the appropriately named S.D. Ireland Companies takes place Sunday afternoon.Twenty-five trucks will travel throughout the Burlington area, sporting shamrocks. Their route takes the honking trucks past prime viewing spots like the Winooski traffic circle, the Staples Plaza on Williston Road in South Burlington, and the Church Street Marketplace in downtown Burlington between Main and Cherry Streets.Organizers provided a heads-up to spectators for the 2024 edition of the parade, alerting community members that the mixer convoy leaves the construction contractor’s Williston headquarters at noon on Sunday.
