First Update On My Cancer [Video]

Today I discuss my first update on my cancer journey. I learned that I do have terminal cancer.
Carcinoid tumors, often rare and misunderstood, are neuroendocrine tumors that can develop in various organs of the body, including the lungs, gastrointestinal tract, and appendix. Despite their rarity, they can have profound impacts on health and well-being.

As a veteran, I’ve come to learn about a concerning link between exposure to burn pits during military service and the development of carcinoid tumors. Burn pits, commonly used for waste disposal in overseas military operations, release toxic fumes and particulate matter into the air, exposing service members to a range of health risks. Alongside carcinoid tumors, veterans exposed to burn pits may also face increased risks of respiratory issues, cancers, and other debilitating health conditions.

This revelation serves as a wakeup call not only for myself but for fellow veterans who may have been exposed to burn pits during their service. It’s crucial to prioritize our health and well-being by seeking medical attention and getting checked for any potential health concerns, including carcinoid tumors and other associated risks from burn pit exposure.
