Healthpark Medical Center Named a Top 50 Heart Hospital [Video]

For the 11th year, Lee Health’s Healthpark Medical Center has been named a top 50 hospital for heart care by PINC AI. “This group does a detailed objective analysis of the quality of care rendered in hospitals throughout the United States. You can’t pay to get this award. This is based on merit,” said Dr. Richard Chazal.

The study looked at more than 900 hospitals. Healthpark was one of only 5 in Florida to be named to the list and its… “the only hospital south of I-4 in the state of Florida to receive this Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital Award.” Dr. Chazal said the Lee Health Heart Institute is evolving into an academic institution. “Research is being done at Lee Health, and we plan to exponentially expand research in the cardiovascular field in the next couple of years.”

Award winners demonstrated significantly higher survival rates associated with cardiac care, with fewer readmissions and complications. “It’s really terrific validation for our entire team, all of our clinicians, the nurses, support staff, and administration to receive an award that acknowledges the hard work that we put in to provide the best care possible for all of the patients in Southwest Florida.”
