HSE chiefs have issued a major warning to the Irish public over a deadly cancer that can affect thousands.
The HSE are urging anyone who works outdoors to be aware of the higher risks they are exposed to with skin cancer.
Following the bad weather over the last number of weeks, days are expected to get hotter and the risk of skin cancer is much greater.
The HSE warned: “If you work outdoors, you are exposed to two to three times more UV radiation from the sun than people who work indoors, putting you at higher risk of developing skin cancer.
