Hundreds attend candlelight prayer service for cancer patient Isabella Strahan [Video]

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – It’s the support of family, friends and community members that keeps Isabella Strahan going through her tough cancer journey.

“She is going through a very difficult time so it’s great to see people wanting her to be loved,” Isabella’s mom, Jean Strahan said.

Isabella is the daughter of former NFL star Michael Strahan. Earlier this year, Michael announced Isabella had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer commonly found in children, last October.

Jean says the journey since that moment has been difficult.

“She’s spent most of the past six months in the hospital, a lot of visits and stays and surgeries,” Jean said.

Isabella has already gone through three brain surgeries and two rounds of radiation. She starts her next round at Duke this upcoming Monday.
