Tributes have been paid to a ‘devoted’ and ‘kind’ dad-of-three who took his own life after the death of his wife.

Adam Thompson, 39, was found dead at home in Mulbarton, Norfolk, by his own dad on October 10.

His death came four months after that of his beloved partner of 11 years, Lucy, 44, who had battled breast cancer for five years.

Norfolk Coroner’s Court heard how his life had ‘hit an all-time low’ when coming to terms with the unexpected loss of another close family member, as well as his pet dog, at around the time of his wife’s death.

It was revealed that the former police officer killed himself using his wife’s cancer medicine, with the medical cause given as cocaine and opioid toxicity.

Adam had run the Reality Estate Agent firm in Norwich with Lucy prior her death last June.
