Hi, I’m Jee Shim. I’m a Korean American and I was born in Ohio, lived in Korea from age six to 16. I moved to Michigan, went to the University of Michigan for undergraduate and medical school, did residency in New York and practiced in New York for about six years before moving to Louisville Kentucky. I decided to become an OB-GYN after seeing a baby being born for the first time in medical school, I fell in love and never looked back.

So the best and the most important part of my job is the relationship I get to build with my patients. When you come see me, I want to get to know you. I want you to get to know me, and whatever time we have, we’ll build our trust and rapport with each other. And as much as I can help you, I also learn a lot from my patients. I look forward to meeting you and look forward to having the privilege of taking care of you.

For fun, I have a new baby girl, so I like to spend time with her and my family. I like to travel as much as I can. Doesn’t happen as often as I can, but I like to travel. I like to bake. And I’m not going to lie, I do also like to binge-watch nice TV shows, good TV shows. And I also like to sleep.
