Stephen Fry has said it would be ‘really sad’ if his close friend King Charles was ‘seriously ill’ after waiting so long to be crowned because the monarch has ‘so much he wants to do.’
On Monday, it was announced that the King was undergoing treatment for a form of cancer after a irregularity was spotted during a prostate reduction procedure.
The news has caused the Royal Family to close rank and band together to take on Charles’ royal commitments with estranged Prince Harry also flying in to the country to personally visit his father.
Fry, 66, who himself has recovered from prostate cancer, has been close friends with the King for a number of years and the actor was personally invited to his coronation last year.
