Lee Health’s Partnership with the Minnesota Twins

The Twins aren’t the only ones occupying the ballpark this year. “We’re taking advantage of whatever we see, sure,” said Kimberly Bezerra.

As part of Lee Health’s 10-year partnership serving as the Minesota Twins official Florida Healthcare partner, you’ll find medical experts promoting health education to fans at many games throughout the year. “I don’t think people often have that chance to learn more about their health outside of a doctor’s office, so this is a good place to do it,” said Bezerra, who attended a health fair at The Lee Health Sports Complex with her kids.

Ben Wessel refreshed his hands only CPR training before watching batting practice. “I learned CPR from Boy Scouts, and this helped me refine my knowledge in it. And I think it’s important because you could save somebody’s life with it. And saving someone’s life is much better than just not knowing how to do anything and just standing around.”

At some games, you’ll be able to get an EKG and blood pressure screening, speak with a registered dietitian, get help finding a doctor and more. “I think that just having easy access to health care and getting some questions answered, even if it’s as simple as heart rate and blood pressure, that’s good data to know for everybody, so why not?” said baseball fan Jason Larson.

Although spring training may be wrapping up soon, they’ll be plenty more community events held at the Lee Health Sports Complex throughout the year.
