Minimally Invasive Surgeries

Minimally invasive surgeries (MIS) minimise incisions and tissue damage during surgeries. Using specialised tools and techniques like robotic surgery, MIS is less risky than traditional open surgery. MIS is a patient centered revolution. They result in less pain, minimal scarring, lower infection rates, lower recovery time, and more! The McMaster affiliated program at St. Joseph’s Hospital is renowned for advancing MIS research in the last decade, especially in the field of Computer-Assisted Minimally Invasive Surgery (CMAS). Check out more information about their program below!
