Newton County School District remembers Krissi Harris Munn [Video]

DECATUR, Miss. (WTOK) – The Newton County School District remembers one teacher who recently passed away.

Krissi Harris Munn was a second and third-grade loop teacher at Newton County Elementary School.

Munn passed away unexpectedly in early April. She had been battling Melanoma which is a type of skin cancer.

Lifelong friend Jackie Thompson said she will always remind her fondly.

“She had an infectious laugh like no one else, and for sure we will miss that. She loved anything that we did in the gym at the beginning of the year, something as simple as they would give us gift cards at the end of the year and they had to pull her name out of a hat. Well, we all knew that she probably put her name in there about five times without anybody else knowing because she was just that competitive and wanted to win. But her …
