PJ day at Jacksonville schools raises money for kids with cancer [Video]

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Abess Park Elementary School and Mayport Coastal Sciences Middle School are raising awareness for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund — through Tuesday’s pajama day.

Both schools held pajama days to raise money for the Jay Fund, a local non-profit that provides financial, emotional and practical support to families battling childhood cancer.

One of those families includes seven-year-old Lilly. She was diagnosed with leukemia at age three, and is now in remission.

Her mother, Tiffany, is also battling breast cancer.

Lily’s big brother, Brody, organized pajama day at Mayport Coastal Sciences, while their mom organized it at Abess Park where Lily is in Kindergarten.
