Plans to demolish Palm Beach Health Centre on Gold Coast for a vertical retirement village [Video]

Munmorah Lake Pty Ltd has lodged a development application with Gold Coast City Council to create 28 independent living units, with 70 bedrooms, across eight levels.

It is the site of the Palm Beach Health Centre, on the Gold Coast Highway, which houses six businesses: Palm Beach Physio and Sports Rehab, National Skin Cancer Centre, Affinity Psychology, My Rehab Co, Audika Hearing Clinic and Palm Beach Pure Smiles.

In 2022, the council had approved a 58-unit residential nine-storey tower on the 1783sqm site. Construction never began.

The Palm Beach proposal will be assessed by the council’s planning committee later this year.
