At the beginning of this video, a breast epithelial cell is in the cell cycle stage of duplicating its genome. The bright points appearing in the cell’s nucleus indicate where DNA is being replicated. Then, the cell is exposed to a type of stress, and it doesn’t divide, as it normally should, but starts duplicating its genome again, as indicated by the bright points reappearing. #BasicScienceResearch #JohnsHopkins #CancerResearch #CancerCells
