singing is what i was made for. i started singing from the get go. My mom is a wonderful singer and overall incredible human being. she sang a lot. i no doubt got the love from her. (and the movie annie)

I got diagnosed with an advanced form of thyroid cancer when I was 39. it was all over my thyroid, in my neck and around my vocal cords, in my lymph nodes. I had a total neck dissection, thyroidectomy, lymphadenectomy and later radiation. the procedure made it hard to speak for the first few months, its now harder to breathe and ultimately gave me a very short range. I cried about it for 4 years. I’m better now. I’ve learned how to breathe different, and i try and focus on the good. the grief returns here and there and we cry and mourn. Now my kids sing and that makes me very happy. This was a silly song I wrote about it.
