Vanessa Feltz broke down in tears on live TV after hearing about Dame Esther Rantzen’s critical health update. The emotional moment happened when Rebecca Wilcox, daughter of Dame Esther, went on Vanessa’s Talk TV programme to discuss her mum’s current health status.

Dame Esther, 83, has been open about the troubling signs showing her cancer is nearing its final stages. She has stage four lung cancer and is advocating strongly for a discussion and vote on legalising assisted dying. Dame Esther feels that this would give her the “confidence” in knowing that her death could be “dignified”.
