American actress Shannen Doherty has praised Princess Kate’s “strength” and slammed conspiracy theories about her health.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star, who is battling stage 4 breast cancer and underwent surgery for a brain tumor in 2023, emphasized the importance of privacy, even for public figures.

Shannen took to Instagram to denounce the rampant speculation and shared her hope this would be a “learning moment”.

“Being a public figure does not mean the public owns that person,” Shannen stated.

“We ALL have the right to go through illness or life privately,” She criticized the invasive speculation that led Kate to disclose her condition prematurely.

“The onslaught of conspiracy theories, ownership, and plain, morbid curiosity forced this person to explain herself before she had come to terms with it and explained to her children,” she added.
