Amy Dowden says Strictly co-stars rescued her after cancer diagnosis [Video]

Amy Dowden has spoken with gratitude for her Strictly Come Dancing co-stars who ‘rescued’ her after a cancer diagnosis in 2023.

Last week, the dancing star, 33, announced she had been told there was ‘no evidence of disease’ following months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment.

Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer and then ‘another form of cancer’ in May 2023, with the Strictly professional detailing the trials and tribulations of her treatment plan throughout last year.

Now, having received ‘the best news ever’ and achieving her ‘biggest accomplishment yet’, she’s reflected on her cancer journey over the last 12 months.

Speaking on The One Show, she immediately thanked her Strictly pals Dianne Buswell, Graziano Di Prima, Oti Mabuse, and Carlos Gu for their help with the show, Dare to Dance, where she helps members of the public learn a dance to surprise their friends and family.
