Free health clinics kick off National Minority Health Month [Video]

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — April is National Minority Health Month. The observance raises awareness about the disparities faced by racial and ethnic minorities across the country. One local organization is taking action to help put an end to these inequalities.

This year Celebrate Healthcare is connecting the Hampton Roads community to resources that will help prioritize their health. Two free health clinics will be held in Chesapeake and Hampton early this month. 

Thursday, April 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Celebrate Healthcare is partnering with Sentara at the Jasaron Learning Institute in Chesapeake. You can register for this free event here. 

Attendees can find 3D mammogram services, vaccines, and enroll or renew in a health insurance or Medicaid plan.
