What’s being called a hit-and-run crash at the University of Kansas Health System’s cancer treatment center in Westwood has claimed the life of a 94-year-old Leawood man.The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim as William J. Ward.The sheriff’s office, in a statement, also said the driver who left the accident scene was identified and taken in for questioning.Johnson County booking records show sheriff’s deputies arrested a Kansas City, Kansas woman in her mid-twenties at 1 p.m. and charged her with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.So far, the sheriff’s office has not confirmed if that woman is the suspect in this case.The incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on the second of the five-level parking garage.”That’s about the time that people come to work here.
