Man Surprises Girlfriend with Proposal as She Rang Chemotherapy Bell [Video]

Angelica May got a special surprise while ringing the cancer-free bell.

On March 20, May, 27, was surrounded by loved ones as she celebrated the completion of her chemotherapy treatment at the Novant Health Zimmer Cancer Institute in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was being treated for stage 2 triple negative breast cancer, per ABC News.

Little did she know, there was another surprise in store for her amid her celebrations. During the celebration, her boyfriend, Imeek Watkins, 25, proposed while her friends and family watched on. The adorable moment was seen in a video shared on Storyful.

Watkins handed May 10 red roses to mark the 10 years they’d been together, as he pointed out in the video. He then played a sweet video message from their young niece, who said, “My uncle would like to know, ‘Will you marry him?’ “
