Pen Argyl area teen raises money for THON at Penn State | Good News [Video]

Dancing for two days straight at Penn State University saves lives, and one Northampton County native is getting ready to put on her dancing shoes.

Megan Guthrie was chosen to be one of the THON dancers, and she’s in training right now.

She went to Pen Argyl Area High School and is now a senior at Penn State.

She’s been exercising, eating healthy and stretching a lot to make sure her muscles are ready to stand for 46 hours.

THON is the largest student run philanthropy in the world. The money raised goes to fight childhood cancer, and it’s happening this weekend up in Happy Valley.

Students fundraise all year long and then on THON weekend, they stay up for 46 hours, no sitting or sleeping.
