Sand Springs firefighter hosting bike race benefit for woman battling cancer | News [Video]

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. — Sand Springs Firefighter Captain Raymond Hall hosted a bike race for his wife last year after she was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer.

This year, Hall said he wants to contribute the same gesture that he did for his wife, for the Cartwright family.

Amber Cartwright, a mother of two who was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in October of 2022.

Hall’s goal is to help the Cartwright financially so they can focus on being a normal family.

“In our first meeting, we found out that her and her family, she has two teenage kids and her husband, they have never been able to go on a family vacation,” Hall said. “We’re hoping to one, help them with the financial burdens that they’ve been going through and two, hopefully build and send them on a vacation.
