West Side hospital hosts first-ever health fair for women [Video]

CHICAGO — In honor of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, the Humboldt Park Health Center — in collaboration with Near North Health — hosted a first-ever health fair for women in the West Side community Saturday so they could get screened for potential health issues all in one place.

The fair offered everything from blood pressure and blood sugar checks, to pregnancy tests, mammograms and even massages.

According to hospital officials running the event, the health fair aims to make women’s health a priority and promote health equity in the West Side community.
